The eighth walk of the County Walk takes place on 9th October

The county walks are back to Vila Nova de Famalicão. On the 9th of October, the eighth walkwill take place, which will cover 14 kilometres, in a path of medium difficulty and circular route, starting from the Church of Ruivães, at 14h30.
The challenge is launched with the registrations taking place in the Famalicão Sportive portal at Famalicão Desportivo
Crossing the parishes of Ruivães, Castelões and Mogege, the route is made by paths and tracks of dirt, but also by stretches of tar and sidewalk. The lowest point is located next to the place of Vila Cova, in Castelões (with the quota of 124m), and the highest point next to the Penedo da Moura, in Mogege (at quota 254m).
The walks are promoted by the City Council in partnership with the associations Calcantes, Grucamo and Corpo Nacional de Escutas, this initiative aims to show the various points of each parish in the municipality, discovering the cultural heritage, the fauna and flora. This activity is aimed at the general population and is free of charge, but registration is required.
