From 15 October to 15 November is the application period for the granting of scholarships by the City Council to students from the county of Vila Nova de Famalicão attending higher education (bachelor and master), public or private.
For more than ten years, the City Council, through the Pelouro da Juventude (Youth Department), has annually granted scholarships to students from the county attending universities.
It should be noted that in 2020/2021, the local authority has attributed a total of 364 scholarships, in a total investment of more than 222 thousand euros. In addition to the normal application period, the local authority also opened an exceptional regime due to the Covid 19 pandemic, where 27 scholarships were attributed with an investment of 17,400 thousand euros.
The applications should be formalised through the platform http://bolsas.famalicao.pt/ that will be available between October 15th and November 15th, on the Youth of Famalicão site, at www.juventudefamalicao.org, where the regulation for the attribution of the scholarships is also available. For further information, young Famalicans should contact Casa da Juventude through the e-mail bolsasestudo@famalicao.pt or the contact 252314582.
This measure of the City Council is seen as another fundamental strategic bet on the young people of Famalicão through the creation of equal conditions in the access to education and the creation of reasons for strengthening the feeling of belonging to the county.
