After becoming orphan as a baby, Richard the sparrow is found by a stork, who raises him as one of her own. Time passes and he acquires the habits of his adoptive family, even if he sometimes comes up against almost insurmountable challenges. Now that he is all grown up and feels ready to lead the flock on the next migration, he is devastated when his elders decide to hand over this responsibility to someone more experienced. It is then that, in an act of revelation but also of great courage, he decides to leave the only family he has ever known and follow his own route.
