Having always been fascinated by the pimba universe, Bruno Nogueira sets out to breathe new life into these songs, bringing together Manuela Azevedo, lead singer of Clã, and other musicians who have made jazz and pop arrangements where they were unlikely. Pimba is unifying. On the sly, so as not to look bad. Whether at a party in Quinta do Lago or in the middle of a barbecue in Massamá, at the first chords of a Quim Barreiros song there will be a stampede running to the dance floor and singing the chorus in a happy, loud voice. Leave Pimba Alone is a concert and a show of deconstruction and that is no small feat.
