In this concert, Virxilio da Silva will perform his repertoire, arranged for the Eixo do Jazz Ensemble (EJE). This ensemble will be made up of members selected by Virxilio from among those who are already members of the EJE and residents of the 6th edition of Jazz na Aldeia, which takes place in the third week of September in Idanha-a-Nova. This will be another concert to be recorded for the creation of the 5th album of the EJE meets project, after Mário Laginha, Iago Fernández, João Paulo Esteves da Silva and Abe Rábade. Galician guitarist Virxilio da Silva is one of the most sought-after guitarists in Europe for jazz and jazz-rock bands, as well as leading his own projects. A production by Eixo do Jazz, a Luso-Galician association for the promotion of jazz, in co-production with the Casa das Artes de Famalicão and with the support of the Municipality of Famalicão and Caixa Cultura.
