"This is a house open to all (...) it was the result of a lot of effort", says José Carlos Santos, president of the board of directors of the Cultural and Sports Association of S. Martinho de Brufe, who did not fail to hide his great contentment in the session that marked the conclusion of the renovation works of the association's head office. The symbolic moment, that took place yesterday, November 28th, counted with the presence of the Mayor, Mário Passos and the President of the Brufe Parish Council, Carlos Gomes. The works ranged from the replacement of the lighting to led, to the construction of a fence wall.
"The success is built with sacrifice, with effort, with mutual help, and this association represents well that" says the Mayor, Mário Passos, who highlights the "altruism of the famalicenses, from the most diverse fringes of the population, who give their time for associative work, very relevant to raise the quality of life of fellow citizens".
The Cultural and Sports Association of S. Martinho de Brufe was founded in 1986 and hosts the Rancho Folclórico de São Martinho de Brufe, the Marchas Antoninas de Brufe, fitness classes, indoor football and concertina teaching.
