Vaudeville Rendez-Vous debuts in Famalicão with the show "Do you still want to dance with me?"

In Famalicão, the 7th edition of the International Festival Vaudeville Rendez-Vous starts today, 22nd, at 18h00, in the amphitheatre of Devesa Park, with the premiere of the show "Do you still want to dance with me?" a co-production of INAC - Instituto Nacional de Artes do Circo with the festival. The Vaudeville Rendez-Vous, which runs until July 24 in the cities of the urban quadrilateral, includes seven shows in the city of Famalicão.
Besides the INAC, on the first day of the festival, 22nd, Joel Martí & Pablo Molina will perform the show "Random" at 9pm. On 23 July, the Compagnie Troubles Campêtres will present "Là-Bas" at 6 p.m., followed by the Oliveira & Bachtler Company with "Otus Extracts" at 9 p.m. The last day of Vaudeville Rendez-Vous will be marked by the shows "Copyleft" by Nicanor de Elia (11 a.m.) and "Wake up!" by Corentin Diana and Leonardo Ferreira (6 p.m.), while Right Way Down will close the festival in Portugal with "Váld" at 9 p.m.
In addition to the seven presentations, there are mediation activities that include a creation workshop, aimed at all audiences, which began on July 20 and runs until July 23, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., at Edifício das Lameiras, the masterclass "Contemporary Circus and Public Space" oriented to arts professionals, on July 24, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., at Casa do Território, and a pitching session between creators and programmers, on July 23, at 10.30 a.m., in the small auditorium of Casa das Artes.
Vaudeville Rendez-Vous is an international festival focused on contemporary circus and transdisciplinary forms for the public space, which passes through different urban spaces of the four cities that compose the Cultural Quadrilateral - Barcelos, Braga, Guimarães and Vila Nova de Famalicão. Throughout the various editions, the event has been focusing on artistic proposals that aim at the discovery of new forms, reinventing the aesthetic and technical standards usually associated with circus.
The performances of the festival have free entrance, with the obligation of picking up the ticket at the performance venue, two hours before the beginning of the event. Each person may collect up to six tickets.
