The new "Top Gun" and the Portuguese version of the animated film "Sing 2" are some of the proposals for the return of the outdoor cinema nights in Vila Nova de Famalicão. Once again, Cinema Paraíso comes to us by the hand of the Cineclube de Joane that, from July 6 to August 17, suggests many good films to enliven the summer nights of the famalicenses.
This year, in addition to the usual sessions on Wednesdays in the amphitheatre in Devesa Park, the initiative will maintain the mark of itinerancy also making the seventh art to two parishes of the county: Castelões and Telhado.
The program of the 22nd edition of Cinema Paradise starts on July 6, in Devesa, with the screening of the film "Dune". It is followed by the first night of cinema in the parishes, on July 10, in the Social Centre of Castelões with the film "Bicycle Thieves".
On the 13th, the open-air cinema continues in Devesa with the screening of the Portuguese version of the film "Sing 2", with the voices of Áurea, Vasco Palmeirim, among others. On July 17, there is cinema in Telhado, in the Largo da Junta de Freguesia, with the screening of the film inspired by the life and career of Doce - "Very Good".
From this date, all sessions take place in the Devesa. June 20 passes the film "The Electrical Life of Louis Wain. August kicks off with the screening of the latest blockbuster in Portugal, the new "Top Gun: Maverick", on 3. This will be followed by the films "Belle", on the 10th, and to close this edition of Cinema Paraíso, the film "A Summer's Tale", on the 17th.
All sessions are scheduled for 22h00 and admission is free.
The Cineclube de Joane has been organising the Cinema Paraíso in Famalicão since 1999. The initiative is promoted in partnership with the municipality and Casa das Artes.
