This exhibition shows us human figures holding trays or ropes that balance "things". This idea could be a plastic metaphor, as we all balance "things" in our lives. In the visual arts the use of formal simplifications comes since the Neolithic and has been used in all eras and cultures. Examples of such "formal stylisations" today are road signs or logos. In the 20th century, this will of plastic expression that seeks the essential had in Paul Klee, Miró, Picasso, Max Ernst, Lam, Giacometti, Amadeo de Souza Cardoso, Brancusi, Ângelo de Sousa, Keith Haring, Basquiat and so many others examples of the infinite possibilities that this plastic language has. Luís Delgado was born in 1962 and has a degree in Plastic Arts/Painting from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon.
