The One Stop Shop for Buildings (Balcão Único do Prédio, BUPi) will travel through the parishes of the municipality of Famalicão, starting on June 29. The purpose of this itinerant process is to empower the mapping of the territory and to expand the registration of georeferenced graphic representations (RGG), related to rural or mixed lands, in the BUPi platform. The clarification session of this service modality, directed, mainly, to the executives of the 34 famalicense parish councils, happened last Monday, day 6, in the House of the Territory, and was attended by the Mayor, Mário Passos.
"Your role is vital for us to reach the largest number of owners", emphasized the mayor, in an understanding of the importance of Parish Councils, as well as parishes, associations and local cooperatives, as a vehicle for the dissemination of the service to the resident and non-resident population, with properties located in the municipality of Vila Nova de Famalicão.
The Mobile BUPi team, constituted by technicians of the LRB company, who work in harmony with the municipal technicians who are at the counter that exists in the Famalicão's Citizen Shop, will travel through one parish or union of parishes per week, starting with the public presentation of the service to the local population on Wednesdays, at a time to be defined with the respective Council, followed by the appointments, subject to prior booking, which will take place on Thursdays and Fridays.
"Besides resulting in an accurate mapping of our territory, the registration on the BUPi, which is free of charge, emerges as a mechanism that safeguards property rights, being beneficial not only for owners who register on the platform, but also for the agility of municipal management itself", said Mário Passos.
It should be noted that the registration of properties in the BUPi has no associated costs until 2023 and can be done at the BUPi counter located in the Famalicão Citizen Shop, at António Carvalho Faria Street, as well as online, through the site https://ebupi.justica.gov.pt/. As of June 29, the mobile BUPi will be added to these modalities and will start its itinerancy in the parish of Fradelos.
Since the BUPi was opened to the public in Famalicão, on November 29 2021, about 780 RGG have been performed, corresponding approximately to 2,8% of all the real estates registered in the Tax Authority and omitted or not described in the Land Registry Office in Famalicão - a total of about 27379 -, with the intention of reaching a number close to 20.000 matrices registered in the BUPi platform.
It should be noted that the BUPi is a national project for the identification and mapping of properties, which, in the case of Vila Nova de Famalicão, is developed by the City Council, in the framework of a joint application for several municipalities of the CIM do Ave to the Operational Programme North 2020.
