It is for their own good that people should register their properties in the BUPi
Mário Passos, Mayor
The One Stop Shop for Buildings (BUPi) opened Monday, November 29, in Famalicão. It allows property owners to register and identify their rustic and mixed land, simply and free of charge, in a national mapping process that will reinforce the protection of property rights and allow the knowledge of the Portuguese territory in a simple and innovative way.
The BUPi in person in Famalicão operates in the Loja de Cidadão (Citizen's Store), at Rua António Carvalho Faria, with personalized technical service, which helps citizens to identify the location and boundaries of their properties. The process can also be done online - through here.
The registration of properties on the BUPi has no associated costs during the first two years of the municipality's adhesion to this national project for the identification and mapping of properties.
Besides the service counter, in Famalicão's Loja de Cidadão, where two specialized technicians are present, two BUPi mobile units are planned to tour the municipality's parishes.
"The precise mapping of properties is first and foremost a safeguard for the owners themselves. And it is also an essential tool for the management of the country, both in terms of safeguarding individual and collective rights, and in terms of environmental preservation, civil protection and others", says the Mayor, Mário Passos, on a visit to the space. And adds "it is for their own good that people should register their properties in the BUPi".
It should be noted that this initiative is developed by the City of Vila Nova de Famalicão in the framework of a joint application for several municipalities of the CIM do Ave to the Operational Program North 2020.
Learn more about BUPi through hereor by visiting the physical counter, located in the Famalicão Citizens Shop.
