The Mayor of Vila Nova de Famalicão, Mário Passos, who took office last October 10th, started today the first work tour outside his office with attention focused on the municipal services.
Mário Passos wants to know well the corners of the house and, in the next days, will visit each of the municipal services to talk to the municipality staff, to know, in the first person, the tasks they develop and the difficulties they feel in the exercise of the same.
"The exercise of proximity governance begins, first of all, at home". Mário Passos, who, among others, is in charge of Administrative Modernisation and Digital Transition and of Human Resources, wants "efficient public services, focused on a good service to the citizen" and, therefore, he ensures, "he will remain close to municipal employees and attentive to the dynamics, problems and needs of municipal services".
The first internal visit of the Mayor within this framework was to the One Stop Shop, which centralises all municipal services to the public, both in person and online, bringing together administrative services, environment, urban planning, housing, human resources, legal and others, in a single location.
