05-08-2022
We are a municipality with a good set of post-secondary and higher education institutions, which values us as an educating city, and as a qualified and entrepreneurial territory
Mário Passos
In the 2022-2023 academic year, Vila Nova de Famalicão's higher education and technological specialisation institutions will offer more than 1,000 places in 15 undergraduate degrees, 31 Professional Higher Technical Courses (CTeSP) and two Technological Specialisation Courses (CET), starting in September, in both working and post-working hours. Applications are already open.
All this amount of training available in Famalicão will be taught by CESPU - Cooperativa de Ensino Superior Politécnico e Universitário, by the Universidade Lusíada de Vila Nova de Famalicão, and by the Famalicão centres of the Instituto Politécnico do Cávado e Ave (IPCA), of the Instituto Politécnico de Bragança (IPB) and of Cenfim - Centro de Formação Profissional de Indústria Metalúrgica e Metalomecânica (Metalúrgica and Metalomechanic Industry Vocational Training Centre).
It should be noted that in Vila Nova de Famalicão, in the school year 2021-2022, about 2633 students attended post-secondary and higher education, which represents the consolidation of a training and qualification of higher education staff that meets the needs of companies, where the focus on knowledge, research, technological development and innovation is central and decisive for the territory.
"There is more and better training offer in our territory" highlights the Mayor, Mário Passos. "We are a municipality with a good set of post-secondary and higher education institutions, which values us as an educating city, and as a qualified and entrepreneurial territory", he adds.
Applications can be made online through the websites of the training entities themselves or in person at the offices of these institutions. The deadline to present candidacies has already started and runs until August 11, at CESPU; until August 22, at IPCA; until August 26, at IPB; until September 5, at the Lusíada University of Famalicão; and until the end of September, at CENFIM.
The specific information about the application procedures is available for consultation on the websites of the institutions, or through the booklet of post-secondary and higher education, available here, where you can find all the existing training offer in our municipality, the study plans, the professional outlets and the contact details of the entities.
